The Plant Science TREE (Tool for Research Engaged Education) enables direct access to over 2,000 downloadable research-informed online lectures, lecture slides, images, animations, films, all licensed for educational use. With over 80 contributors a key strength of this teaching tool is that it is being developed by the research community.

Our UPLOAD facility allows you to upload and share your lecture slides, images, movies, or practicals with other plant science educators and will help build this repository of quality shared plant science educational resources.

Plant News: We also deliver the Plant News with RSS feed which links to current developments and breakthroughs in plant science as well as any plant science being reported in the news.

Using the TREE

Browsing

To browse for lecture material please select a topic from the 'Tree View' tab. Every topic in the tree may contain resources or other topics


Searching

Multiple search terms may be used as well as "and" and "or". For example: the search "leaf flower" will search for 'leaf and flower', whereas 'leaf or flower' will search for 'leaf or flower'.

Search results: The resource search results are shown on the right and the topic search results are shown on the left hand menu below the search box. Resource names, descriptions and contributors are included in the search.


Download and resource details

To download a resource please select the 'more details' link below the relevant thumbnail, then select the 'download' link. You will then have the option to either open or save the resource. Only those resources with the appropriate copyright clearance are avalable for download. Please note that lectures are available for viewing only. The 'more details' link below each thumbnail provides the resource description and other supporting information.
