The Gatsby Plant Science summer school 2012 will take place on 1st-6th July 2012, at the Emergency Planning College, Easingwold, near York.The Gatsby Plant Science summer school continues to be a successful medium through which those at the forefront of their subject can convey their passions to students eager to be excited by science and its opportunities. New Publication: The Gatsby Plant Science Summer School: Inspiring the Next Generation of Plant Science Researchers The Plant Cell: Vol. 24: 1–11 April 2012. This paper evidences the impact of the Gatsby Plant Science Summer School on engaging undergraduates with plant science and recruiting students to plant science PhDs . The paper shows that engaging first year undergraduates with the potential for plant science and career opportunities available, changes student attitudes to plant science and can encourage them to choose University plant science modules and plant-based PhDs.
